I’d like to thing that I have really open mind about almost everything. Over the past few years, and especially this year, I’ve noticed that a major characteristic in my personality is that I just about always give people the benefit of the doubt. I hardly have to try to do it because it has just become so natural to me to leave a “what if” option everywhere. Yes, people could say that this could lead to letting people walk all over me or a naive outlook on life as a whole; however, I believe that I’m also pretty good at weighing the good and bad in all types of situations and people. I think one thing I’m really really good at is putting myself in someone else’s shoes before I jump to conclusions. In fact, I like encouraging others to do it before unleashing unnecessary emotional outbursts. Or, from a less dramatic standpoint, I just like people to be well-informed of others’ circumstances before making judgements. I think I do a good job of remaining unbiased in many situations and I think this what makes me capable of offering advice to friends sometimes. I’m not trying to flatter myself or boost my ego or whatever. I’m simply trying to make an observation. To be honest, I don’t like overly complimenting myself, although this post may seem to be doing just that. But hey, I’m just trying to give myself a little credit.
On a lighter, and slightly unrelated note, I’d also like think that I have a really wide taste in music. I’ll give anything a try. I think there’s beauty in all types of music and I’m fascinated with people who have a broad range of musical taste as well. In fact, for me, it’s a pretty attractive quality in guys. Just sayin’.
